Why doesn't the jammer work without headphones?

Speech Jammer plays your voice back through your headphones with a delay. Without headphones, the delayed audio would play through the speaker, creating feedback loops instead of the jammer effect. Plug in any headphones — AirPods, AirPods Pro, or wired — and it works instantly.

Does it work with AirPods and Bluetooth headphones?

Yes! Speech Jammer works with AirPods, AirPods Pro, and other Bluetooth headphones. Bluetooth may add a small amount of latency compared to wired headphones, but the jammer effect still works well. For the strongest effect, wired headphones provide the lowest latency.

I'm not affected by the jammer. Is it broken?

Some people are naturally more resistant to the delayed auditory feedback effect. Try increasing the delay to around 200–300ms (the "sweet spot" for most people), or try a different mode like Pitch Shift or Echo Chamber for a stronger effect.

How do I record my jammed speech?

Tap the record button while the jammer is running. Your recording will be saved with the mode and delay info. You can play it back or share it to Messages, TikTok, Instagram, or AirDrop from the recordings list.

What's the difference between the 4 jammer modes?

Classic Delay plays your voice back with a simple delay. Pitch Shift adds pitch changes for extra confusion. Echo Chamber layers multiple decaying echoes. Speed Ramp starts with a small delay and increases it over time until you can't speak at all.

Is my audio uploaded anywhere?

No. All audio processing happens entirely on your device. Recordings are stored locally and never leave your device unless you explicitly share them. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions. Find Speech Jammer and tap Cancel Subscription. You'll keep access until the end of your current billing period.

How do I restore my purchase on a new device?

Open Speech Jammer on your new device while signed in with the same Apple ID. Your subscription should restore automatically. If it doesn't, go to the app's settings and tap "Restore Purchases".
